Inspired

Its always an amazing feeling to be inspired. Tonight I watched Hugo at the cinema, and was just blown away with the incredible detail around life a few decades ago. The setting is a bustling Paris city in the 1930's, at a train station with so much life happening - retro coffee shops, live musical sets in the middle of the hustle and bustle, couples dancing, others selling flowers… a really beautiful scene. But what caught my eye was the excellence all around. In our mass-produced day an age, it seems like most things are rushed, the workmanship is good I guess, but not in comparison to back then. In those times a clock maker made clocks, it was his passion, and he did it really well. It got me thinking about music, because that's what I'm passionate about… it makes me want to make better music, write better lyrics, think longer, savor, wait, mature, selah.
Perhaps it applies to all of life… I don't want to rush my way through it.

So yesterday I decided to design some quick album artwork options, and my facebook friends chose this one. It was the quickest one to do, but hey, the people have spoken.
